This week,  the IARS international Institute in partnership with Berami hosted an international accredited training for professionals supporting refugees and migrants in Frankfurt, Germany.  IARS staff and members attended and presented at the event.

This CPD accredited event is held in the framework of the Erasmus+ funded Move On Gender and Migration project and aims at expanding and strengthening the gender and diversity-sensitive counseling competencies of practitioners who are already working in the field of career counseling or are supporting migrants and refugees integrate into their host country.

Training topics include:

  • An Introduction into career counseling for migrants and refugees
  • Gender and diversity in career counseling
  • Counseling processes in intercultural contexts
  • Hypotheses building
  • Reflexive working in migrant and refugee career counseling

Attendees had the opportunity to attend work visits to two organisations in Frankfurt who will shared their best practice in supporting migrants into employment.
