The fourth edition of the Olympic Opportunities Bulletin is now available on the IARS website. To view click here. The bulletin provides information on pan-London volunteering resources, volunteering and funding opportunities for young people and those who work with young people.
The resources are to help young people and volunteering organisations that work with young people to stay informed and take advantage of the various Olympic opportunities available. These include resources to help equip volunteers and organisations ahead of the games such as the Legacy Website or information on how to be part of the Cultural Olympiad.
Exciting new opportunities highlighted in the Bulletin include the Film Nation competition for 11-25 year olds to make films celebrating the Olympic and Paralympic values of respect, courage, excellence, friendship, equality, determination and inspiration in a filming genre of their choice.
The Olympics Opportunities Bulletin is a deliverable by the London Youth-led Sector Policy Forum (LYPF), funded by London Councils, v and the Big Lottery Fund, and hosted by Independent Academic Research Studies (IARS), and acts as a one-stop-shop for information for young people and those who work with young people on how to engage with the Olympics. The Forum is steered by a mixture of frontline, second tier organisations and funders in the youth-led sector. For further information on the forum visit our website here: www.iars.org.uk/policy-forum
