At IARS, we have a strong focus on youth inclusion, and coordinate a range of youth-led projects to ensure young people’s views and the organisations that support them are heard at a policy level. As part of London Youth Now, IARS  hosts the Policy Response Group which considers issues affecting young people for example hate crime, youth violence, police powers, youth unemployment and access to education.

We would like to offer an open invitation to our launch event on Thursday 13th Febuary from 4-6pm at IARS offices in Stockwell, as a way of getting to know more about the group and how you could participate in your capacity as a youth-focussed organisation.

Previous responses and consultations have included; Transforming Youth Custody- Putting Education at the Heart of Detention, Supporting a Stronger Civil Society, Youth Policy Response to National Curriculum Review for Evidence and Youth Unemployment Consultation submission to the Commisson on Youth Unemployment. Organisations which have been involved in the Group include the Anne Frank Trust, the Prince’s Trust, the Citizenship Foundation, the Howard League for Penal Reform, Clinks and StopWatch. The Group has previously put in joint consultation responses to Government departments such as the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office and the Department of Education.

If you are interested in becoming part of this group and finding out more, please join us for an informal chat at the launch where refreshments will be provided. Please contact Grace Loseby g.loseby@iars.org.uk for further details.
